The Wallis and Futuna Islands uses the flag of France as the official flag. The unofficial, local flag is red with four white isosceles triangles in the middle forming a square, representing the three native kings of the islands and the French administrator. The flag of France, outlined in white on two sides, is in the upper hoist quadrant.
