Flag Colors and Description

The Iraqi flag consists of three equal horizontal bands of red (top), white, and black with three green five-pointed stars centered horizontally in the white band. The phrase ALLAHU AKBAR (God is Great) is in green Arabic script between the stars; Akbar to the left of the middle star and Allahu to the right of the middle star. The design is based upon the Arab Liberation colors.
