Flag Colors and Description

The Iranian flag is made of three equal horizontal bands of green (top), white, and red. Centered in the white band is the national emblem, a stylized representation of the word Allah in the shape of a tulip, a symbol of martyrdom. Along the bottom edge of the green band and top edge of the red band is ALLAH AKBAR (God is Great) repeated 11 times in white Arabic script.
